There are a few things you can do if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of being homeless.

2. Get a mailing address

* You can get general delivery at the Post Office even if you don't have an address. The option is only available to receive mail through the postal service and not for FedEx, UPS, or the other delivery services.

3. Get state assistance

There are various assistance programs which can help you with food, housing and healthcare services.

4. Apply for section 8

5. Make sure you have enough to eat.

6. Let your family know that you are in trouble so they can help you.
